Global Insight's staff of over 450 provides the most comprehensive economic and financial coverage of 120 industries and over 200 countries. Every hour of every day, Global Insight collects and monitors data, provides forecasts and analysis and offers consulting advice to clients in business, financial and government organizations around the world.

Objectives

  • To seamlessly integrate the primary services of two major companies that had recently merged
  • To make use of various brand elements and combine them into a consistent look and feel
  • To improve usability, so users from different cultures and countries can easily navigate the site

Global Insight required a website that was professionally designed and appropriately addressed the important brand challenges and site usability requirements of it’s target audience. Global Insight was created with the purpose of combining the two leading economic and financial forecasting companies in the world DRI and WEFA to form the world's preeminent company in its field.

As a result of the merger, there was a tremendous depth of content that needed to be organized and prioritized online for the hundreds of thousands of users that would now come to the new Global Insight site for services, updates and information.

Results

The goal of this project was to develop working design templates that could be passed on to a team of internal developers at Global Insight so they could implement and deploy the new site. The creative team at Embarc conducted user-case scenarios, site mapping exercises and several creative Workshop sessions to deliver a final product that has exceeded expectations.

  • Organized thousands of pages of data and content into four easy-to-use navigation tabs
  • Created subsidiary home pages to provide micro-branding under the corporate umbrella
  • Reinforced corporate messaging and created clear call-to-action with use of interactive Flash
  • Met aggressive timeline requirements to enable successful launch
